Gina specializes in helping people to manage and recover from eating disorders and co-occuring illnesses. Gina’s goal is to help her clients build awareness, reconnect to themselves, and create a life worth living. Gina will help you heal your relationship with food and your body, as well as support you through difficult life events.
Clinical Intake Assessment– Gina will work with you to complete a comprehensive assessment of symptoms, psychosocial and medical history, and help you establish therapy goals. Gina will also help you establish an evidenced-based treatment plan and make appropriate recommendations.
Individual Psychotherapy- Gina is trained in offering evidenced-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, strengths-based therapy and exposure therapy. When treating eating disorders/disordered eating, she follows Health At Every Size Principles and utilizes intuitive eating interventions. Gina also provides psychoeducation with clients and their families to help them better understand the symptoms they are experiencing. Clients describe Gina as an effective therapist who truly cares about the rapport with her clients.
Group Therapy- Gina currently offers an adult anxiety group for ages 18 and up on Wednesdays from 4:00pm-5:00pm. This is a six-week support group designed to help those struggling with anxiety, worry or irrational thought patterns. The group utilizes an effective cognitive behavioral therapy approach, mindfulness tools, psychoeducation and peer support. This group is designed to help individuals learn about their social and relational difficulties in a setting with others who experience similar struggles. Contact for more details.
Telehealth Sessions- Using a HIPPA compliant software, Gina also offers telehealth sessions (similar to Skype) called Doxy Me. This service is great if you are looking to maintain therapy while away at college.
